Samoan Fire knife or Nifo Oti dance is a spectacular way to add sizzle to your Hawaiian Luau. The fire knife dance is a highly stylized art form. This dance has a rich cultural history that dates back centuries and is passed from generation to generation. The Nifo oti (war knife) literally means "tooth of death" or "knife of death". The term refers to the sharpness of the blade, which was historically used as a weapon by Samoan warriors. This fierce traditional dance involves the twirling of the Samoan knife with the added danger of Fire. Today, the dance is known as the Siva Afi (siva means dance and afi means fire) and is a symbol of Samoan culture and heritage. Let our warriors amaze your guests with this thrilling dance.
